Deposit Schedule
It is standard practice for a utility to require a security deposit
before providing service. However, in an effort to recognize financial
responsibility the following policy applies to all new connections
or reconnections.
If the person applying for service has a good credit rating and
is rated low risk, a deposit will not be charged. Only the $5.00
membership fee will be required.
If the person applying for service is rated a moderate risk a deposit
of $150.00, plus a $5.00 membership fee will be required before
service can be connected.
If the person applying for service is rated a high risk, a deposit
of $300.00 will be required, plus a $5.00 membership fee. $150.00
of the deposit will be due before service can be connected. The
remaining balance of $150.00 can be added to the first months bill.
Any one disconnected for non-payment will be required to pay a
deposit of $300.00.
Any person applying for service may have a current Tombigbee member
sign as guarantor. If the guarantor has a good credit rating, the
consumer will not be required to pay a deposit. In the event the
bill becomes delinquent, the delinquent amount will be transferred
to the guarantors bill without further notice.
In addition to deposit fees, other charges may apply. These include
connection fee ($15.00), membership ($5.00) .
REFUNDABLE CHARGES
This membership deposit shall bear no interest and will be retained
until termination of service. All memberships and deposits may be
refunded after final bill is paid in full. See above for deposit
schedule.

Connection Fee $15.00
Minimum Bill
Residential $11.50 (plus tax)
Commercial/Industrial - Determined by contract.
- Past Due Collection Fee - $15.00
- Reconnect Trip Fee - $15.00
- Reconnection Trip Fee for non-payment if requested between 8:00
a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Monday- Friday. If requested between 3:30 p.m.
and 12:00 a.m. Monday-Friday $75.00 (reconnect not available during
other hours).

Standard Security Light (Existing pole) - $7.00 per month
Standard Security Light (New pole) - $8.00 per month
Extra-large Light (Existing pole) - $16.00 per month
Extra-large Light (New pole) - $17.00 per month
- Returned check fee - $20.00
- Meter Test - One time per 12 month period - No Charge
Additional time $25.00 per test
- Meter Tampering/Theft of Service - $200.00 (plus charge of actual
KWH's used)
