New Spam Filtering Service
For all Tombigbee Internet service customers.
We're always trying to improve your service and your Internet
experience. We realize that spam is a big issue with all Internet
users and we have taken additional steps to help filter out these
pesky messages!
Below is a series of screen-shots regarding our new service and

emScan Spam Filter and Virus Protection
Many of you have asked about this type of service
and we are excited to be able to make it available.
Below is the screen you will see when you log on to
your Tombigbee e-mail account. Clicking on the different links will
allow you to view different categories of your mail, ‘Quarantined',
‘Delivered', etc.

There are several areas that you can customize by simply
clicking on the setting you wish to change. You can set the
filter to block ‘Junk E-Mail' or to let all unsolicited
‘Junk' mail come to your computer. You can also set various
levels of Spam filtering in different categories. You can
also set up "Approved Senders" lists, which always
allows mail from people on that list to come to your PC. There
is also a ‘Blocked Senders' list that blocks all e-mail
from anyone on that list.
You can change these settings anytime you wish just by clicking
on the link for the particular item you wish to make changes
to. Each user will be able to customize their e-mail to suit
their particular wants or needs.

There is also a limited amount of virus protection service
that comes with the new program as well. For the virus protection
you do not have to make any settings or adjustments, that
will be handled by our server. IMPORTANT NOTE: while this
virus protection helps to protect against known viruses, it
is not intended to replace the virus protection that each
individual should have on their computer.
You will be receiving an e-mail in a couple of days that will
let you know the service has been activated and providing
you with a login and temporary address. It is VERY IMPORTANT
that you use the link in the e-mail to access the emscan site
and create your permanent password as well as personal settings.
